Attention all Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs), Registered Nurse (RNs) / Registered Practical Nurse (RPNs)

Looking to get your Canadian nursing licenses to practice in Canada?

International Nurses Licensure Assistance Pathway (INLAP) is a free program for IENS who have had their credentials assessed and are deemed eligible to register with Canadian nurses licensing body.

It is designed for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs)

  • 1 Registered Nurse (RNs)
  • 2 Registered Practical Nurse (RPNs)

This 14-week programme covers the licensure process, examination topics, enhanced language training and soft skills required to obtain licensure and to successfully practice as a nurse in the Canadian Healthcare sector.

INLAP can help you on your journey towards Licensure/Certification and prepare you for employment in the Canadian healthcare workforce.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 1 Permanent or temporary resident, Canadian Citizen or persons granted refugee status in Canada.
  • 2 Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • 3 Internationally educated nurse
  • 4 Credentials accessed by NNAS, and you have received Canadian education equivalency or World Education Services (depending on what is acceptable in your province) and is eligible to register with any Canadian nurses licensing body.

Additional Benefit

  • INLAP is free to eligible IENs.
  • Support with job placements and employment
  • Eligible IEN candidates may access low interest loans to assist with the cost of licensure exams cost through community partnerships.

The INLAP Programme is funded by the Government of Canada’s Foreign Credentials Recognition (FCR) Program.
