Providing Financial and Moral Support to Those in Need

This is a FREE 8-week program that will be delivered online via Zoom to eligible Ontario Works recipients (OW) in the Toronto/Scarborough area to help support individuals post Pandemic.

Through this online program, eligible Ontario Work participants will have access to weekly webinars and interactive workshops in topics including Anger Management, Conflict Resolution, Mindful Living, Personality Dimensions®, Self-Confidence and Assertiveness and Managing Stress.  Ongoing one-on-one counselling will be provided based on need.

Participants will also be eligible for the following financial assistance through OW:

  • $ 275 one-time payment to buy a computer/laptop (based on need)*
  • Up to $65 to help cover internet costs (based on need)*
  • $250 monthly program support while they are in the program

*Note: Financial assistance will be assessed by each individual’s caseworkers and will be based on need.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ontario Works Recipient (Toronto)
  • Have access to a Computer/Laptop and Internet with working Camera and Microphone
  • Must be able to attend virtually every weekday (Monday to Friday) for eight weeks.

To register for the Bright Dimensions Program, the candidate must contact their caseworker to obtain a formal referral form to start the screening process.
