Providing Financial and Moral Support to Those in Need

This is a FREE 8-week program that will be delivered online via Zoom to eligible Ontario Works recipients (OW) in the Toronto/Scarborough area to help support individuals post Pandemic.

Through this online program, eligible Ontario Work participants will have access to weekly webinars and interactive workshops in topics including: Anger Management, Conflict Resolution, Mindful Living, Personality Dimensions®, Self-Confidence and Assertiveness and Managing Stress.  Ongoing one-on-one counselling will be provided based on need.

Participants will also be eligible for the following financial assistance through OW:

  • $ 275 one-time payment to buy a computer/laptop (based on need)*
  • Up to $65 to help cover internet costs (based on need)*
  • $250 monthly program support while they are in the program

*Note: Financial assistance will be assessed by each individual’s caseworkers and will be based on need.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ontario Works Recipient (Toronto)
  • Have access to a Computer/Laptop and Internet with working Camera and Microphone
  • Must be able to attend virtually every weekday (Monday to Friday) for eight weeks.

To register for the Bright Dimensions Program, the candidate must contact their caseworker to obtain a formal referral form to start the screening process.
