Remote Work Essential Skills

This is an interactive online workshop designed to help participants succeed in virtual work environments. Participants learn practical tools and strategies to enhance productivity, adaptability, and confidence while working remotely.

Career Reboot: Your Path Back to Work

This is an interactive online workshop focused on rebuilding essential career skills. Participants learn how to identify transferable skills and update resumes. The session helps individuals regain professional confidence and prepare effectively for re-entry into the workforce.

Work Safe: Employment Rights at Work

This workshop educates workers on their employment rights, workplace issues, and how to access free legal support, covering topics like contracts, misclassification, job scams, and key standards under the ESA.

Volunteering as a Path to Employment

This workshop explores how volunteering can help newcomers gain Canadian work experience, build professional networks, and improve their chances of finding paid employment. Participants will learn how to choose the right volunteer opportunities that match their career goals and how to present volunteer experience to employers.

Job Application Toolkit: Cover Letter & Resume

This is an interactive in-person workshop focused on developing strong job application skills. Participants learn how to create targeted resumes, craft compelling cover letters, and highlight transferable skills to match employer needs.

Jobs in Demand

This online session covers Canada's labour market trends, in-demand jobs, required skills, and guidance on aligning your background to succeed in a changing job environment.

WorkSafe: Health and Safety at Work

This workshop highlights that health and safety go beyond physical hazards, focusing on workers' rights, responsibilities, and available support. It covers topics such as hazard identification, injury prevention, harassment, workplace safety laws, discrimination, accommodation, violence, and compensation.

CPR and First Aid

A hands-on in-person certification training to learn life-saving skills such as CPR, first aid, and emergency response, with an opportunity to earn an official certification. Seats are limited.

Cooking Healthy Meals on a Budget

This in-person culinary workshop teaches new community members to prepare healthy, affordable meals, focusing on nutritious recipes, ingredient choices, community resources, and hands-on learning.

Food Handling Certification Training

This is an online certification training; participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to successfully complete the certification exam and work safely in food-related environments.

Workplace Culture and Communication

An online workshop on workplace communication, covering Canadian workplace communication norms, effective communication tips, and how to use speaking skills for networking, personal branding, and job market success.

Individual Employment Consultation

The aim of Individual consultation is to address the clients’ concerns on job applications, receive support in resume makeover, and device an action plan for job application while preparing for the interview.

Career Transition Strategies

This workshop supports individuals exploring new career paths, whether by choice or necessity. It offers practical strategies to assess transferable skills, explore new industries, and build a roadmap for a successful career shift in the Canadian job market.

Personal Branding on LinkedIn

An interactive session designed to help job seekers leverage social media for personal branding. Learn how to create a strong LinkedIn profile, start meaningful conversations, and share content that enhances visibility and job opportunities.

IEP Conference

Overview

The IEP Conference is a unique Canadian initiative for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) taking interactive learning, economic development, and stakeholder awareness to unprecedented levels.
