Are you a newcomer interested in becoming a Home Support Worker—or do you support job seekers who may be a good fit?

This FREE four-week program combines English-language training, practical workplace preparation and work placement support to help participants move toward employment.

What Participants Will Gain

  • Weeks 1–2 | Online: Improve your English and learn Home Support Worker terminology.
  • Weeks 3–4 | In person: Build essential workplace skills and prepare for First Aid and Health & Safety certification.
  • Work placement support: Get help connecting your training to employment opportunities

Eligibility

This training opportunity is designed for Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Ukrainian and other language speakers at CLB 5 or below. Participants must:

  • Are eligible to work in Canada and are not temporary foreign workers
  • Can attend the full online and in-person program
  • Are available and ready for work
